BOYS COMING TO TOWN!

I LOVE THIS VIOLET-DRESS COLLECTIONS. The designs were excellent and magnificent. It was sooo stylish!

New acquaintances from BLACK OUT TRENDS

Unfortunately, I don’t have the chance to talk with the stylists of the show personally. I was standing meters away from them. As a matter of fact, I don’t know them yet. It was my first time to saw them. However, I really want to be acquainted with them, have a little conversation and talk about their fashion inspirations and admiration. You know, it’s nice to know that you have friends who have same interests with you. Oh! How I wish I will be given that chance soon.

I also get a chance to talk with some of the models that were selected from Black out Trends after their runaway. Some were old friends from fashion industry. But the one who really entertained me a lot was Mark. (wearing stripes T-shirt from the right side).

Thanks to Ashley, we have free two tickets since she was a VIP-card holder! I really love fashion shows. I used to ramp twice the runaway. And I really missed it.

I meet them: An Acquaintance at Soul Lifestyle, Abreeza

A while ago, Ashley and I went to Abreeza Mall to see the famed blogger, Cheyser. We encountered once last December 23, 2011 at Starbucks, Abreeza Mall. I have all the opportunity to take picture with her. But unfortunately, I was succumbing of my timidity. Then, I promise myself that if there’s another chance to meet her again, I will be gladly embracing that possibility.

(Excerpt from Kwesh's Facebook: "Hi Fellow Davao Fashionistas! I am inviting you all to the meet and greet Cheyser F. Pedregosa Event Happening this Saturday at SOUL Lifestyle Abreeza")
Three days prior to the event, I was sitting in front of my desktop when a photo grabs my attention. It was from Kwesh’s facebook account tagged to Ashley's! I never thought that my wish would be grant that easily. I'm really expecting that it would take like months or years.

“This is it! It’s about to go out inside my shell.” I told myself while riding on the escalator. Ashley kept on talking while I’m remaining on silent. I’m so anxious yet so excited to what will happen. When we entered the Soul, I saw Kwesh (Kweshiedoodles) holding some Soul clothes. She’s my classmate and a blogger too since 2011. Then, little conversation starts!

(Kwesh from Kweshiedoodles.blogspot.com)
During our stay at Soul Lifestyle, there’s an on-going competition. I think it’s a styling or dressing something or whatsoever which consists of two pairs. One will be the model and the other one will be the stylish. After the mini-ramp of the clothes, the stylish will explain the couture she made.

I like this style. Sooo FAB!

We met new friends. Some were bloggers, fashion stylish, and fans of Ms. Cheyser of The WALKING RECCESSIONISTA. At last, I find a chance to mingle with her and other fashion bloggers like Pat and Wilson of Style Zodiac, Kyrie of Kyrie Couture, Mia of Handmadeturban.blogspot.com, Gail of Yourlivingmannequin and Steph of confessions of a glitterati, Aidx Paredes of aidxparedes.tumblr.com and Farrah Garcia of layeredvintageluxe.blogspot.com. Gelianne Alba of thestatuesquecanvas.blogspot.com and his ever supporting boyfriend and our dear classmate, Erick Loquez, were there too.

Sometimes, I feel awkward to mingle with them. It’s because I was stunned with their outfits and clothes. It seems so branded. Others look elegant with their attires. I feel like so small in this fashion world. Sometimes, I’m thinking that I’m not belonging here since I don’t have the money needed for my hobbies and interest. However, my young sister, Valerie, told me that fashion isn’t money-matter always. It’s on your skill to create clothes better look than expensive ones. Dress what you think that could fit your personality. And most of all, LOVE WHAT YOU’RE DOING. DON’T HESITANT to make your own decisions. After all, YOU are YOURSELF.

My Awkward Moments!

"Wala kang mapapala if magpa-ulaw ulaw pa ka"
(nothing will happened if you'll get shy.) kuya Charles commented,
an alumna of San Pedro College and a good friend of mine.

Last night, Ashley and I were at the StarBucks, Abreeza. I was sitting on the high chair, chatting with kuya (elder) Charles, while waiting for his girlfriend. Ashley was waiting for her turn to get her coffee. My outfit was a long denim skirts, umbrella cut, paired with a sleeveless gray with diamond designs. I was reading a magazine that time when I saw a couple walking towards starbucks. Actually, the girl's outfit catches my attention. She was wearing a long violet straight cut, long skirt, paired with a gray (blouse inside) and a long sleeve. I told myself, "I thought ako lang ang nag-long skirt" and smiled. When she entered, a lady on black approached her and took picture with her. I looked at them when Ashley suddenly approached me from my back and said: "Ann, Is that Cheyser?"

(^_^) I can't picture myself so blankly. Wew! Actually, it was sooo funny! I'm so innocent as if I don't know nothing at all in this world. It was, then, Cheyser! Actually, I don't know her but Ashley told me that she was a blogger too. Just like Camille Co and Chris Uy. Both of them were at the WAGS (what a girl wants), Abreeza.  Damn! I don't know why but I wasted that opportunity to take pictures with them. Sweet chances but i throw it easily in the garbage can as if nothing happened. Poor Me! I was too shy back then.

How am I supposed to fight this kind of feeling? A feeling of shyness? A feeling of low self-esteem. What kuya Charles said was true. Nothing will happened if I just sit down in the corner and keep quite. I can't do anything if I won't get rid this shyness inside me.

Michael Dave Pagalan, Walter Quijada, Frida Cabiles and RTW lines (SOPHIE PARIS and BRAVADO), their creations was worn by sophisticated models ramp on the big stage. Creations were tribute to Alexander McQueen, a known fashion designer worldwide. This fashion show was held for the benefit of children with cancer disease of KIDS OF HOPE FOUNDATION.

The couture made by Ronnie Nacua was truly indeed amazing! Every design is marvelous and fabulous.  Fabrics’ texture adds glamour to his creations. The designs are well-imprinted and well-created. Among his creations, this white animal-inspired outfit struck me most. It looks simple yet elegant. The model looks sophisticated with this couture. The head dress looks so floppy with a horn place on the middle of the head. It was paired with a tube and mini skirt played with gorgeous designs. When the model removes her “mini-skirt”, everybody stunned that it can be turned into a lovely bag. The bag is elegant too. That skirt has double purpose! Well, I like the idea of making that “mini-skirt” into a “bag”. I’m thinking, what if I made one too?

I like this one too! (The picture on the right side)The skirt was made of ribbon-like piled together and turned it into colorful designed skirt. It was paired with a native-like belt. It has also a bolero which can cover the shoulders and neck of the model. However, it can also make additional impact to the skirt if you will tie the bolero near your waist.

The designer made this coutures marvelous. It wasn't just an outfit with a fantastic design but it gives us an idea that it can use in different way. Just like the designer did! He made that skirt into a bag. Actually, in our new generation, a lot of girls made fun with their own clothes too. Some girls made thier high skirts into a tube-dress and paired it with high-waist belt. You can also add some accesories if you want.

Aside from trendy and fascinating attires, the gowns were also stunned that night.  The designs looks complicated and well-detailed.  I was really amazed with those gowns! How I used I could wear them too!

(The Final Glance of the Evening Gowns)
Actually, we can make fun with our outfits! Who say you can't? Open your closet and look what stuff you have. Then think, what do you want to wear for this day. If you made your decision, scan your clothes, paired them up and look yourself at the mirror. For final touches, add some accessories. It must be simple so that it can't be destructive.

(Richard Te, Model from RCEMT)

One of the models was my co-model from Red Carpet Elite Models and Talents (RCEMT), Richard Te. He was asked by a fashion designer to ramp his couture on the aisle. I'm so proud of him. It's been a while since I didn't see my RCEMT family.Oh! I missed them so badly.
