Farewell? Or Hello to Real World?

SPARK Casual Photo Shoot

This is what I wore during our photo shoot for SPARK 2012, our official yearbook for this year. It’s been three months ago but memoirs were very fresh. It’s a very long story truly. However, I really thank God for all the blessings He gave me. I also appreciated the help of my friends and classmates during my difficult days. For my parents, who worked so hard just to send me to school. For my dearest sisters and brothers who always there for comfort. And I cannot also forget those advises and words of encouragement from my mentors and advisers. It's a long quest after all. However, I am proud that at last, I surpassed my college days! I am stronger than before.

I am recently working as a company nurse. Fortunately, I enjoyed here very much. Truly a blessing, isn't it? Life is really amazing! Just don't give up no matter what! Say HELLO to the REAL WORLD!

Until next time....
Ann

PS: welcome back to the bloggers' world, Ann.
Been busy lately.

A Night to Remember: Gawad Pedro!

Gawad Pedro is an annual celebration of recognition and appreciation of different outstanding leaders, athletes, clubs and club moderators who have done their best in different fields of extra-curricular activities every school year. The nominees were chosen by club presidents and club moderators and screened thoroughly by SALIGAN council through interview. The event was held at the Pennacle Hotel and Suites (located near Gaisano Mall of Davao)

stolen mask I used during the event
Peace! I forgot to bring mine. :)

OUTFIT
The concept was Mardigra. Actually, it was known a cachet festival somewhere at Brazil where hue violet, green and gold are frequently used. Since I don’t have enough money to buy new clothes, I just sneak inside my old closet and search for something-to-wear. Since its Mardigra, I’m thinking of something metallic-based and sequined-material. Luckily! I find this fascinating stuff!
Here take a look!

Top: White, fully sequined sleeveless
Botton: Metallic, lengthy kilt.

So vain! even inside the elevator..tsk!

These two idiots told me that my long skirt is like a blanket. :(
They really love to bully me.
the outgoing seniors and student leaders who made their best to make this school year productive!
CONGRATULATIONS TO US!
Remember, we were making an application for some awards at Kasagingan, Torres? Unfortunately, the visual arts club didn’t make it this time. However, the mere fact that we were recognized is already an honor. Our hardships of labor, effort and time were truly paid off. Indeed! Every SPCian has a noble love of endless compassionate service to the San Pedro College community and adopted-society - “LOVE SERVES.”

PS: I thought we were late for the said event since we attended the blogger's meeting with Vern and Vernice at Abreeza Mall. Luckily, it didn't start on time. I met also a new blogger friend during the Gawad Pedro, ate Kyza. I'll post some pictures of her later. :)

Rush Hours

Wew! I’ve been so busy lately. I think I could already feel the pressure prior the graduation.
Tomorrow will be our final exams but I’m not yet done with my clearance.
Shall I study or not? You know, it’s a little bit tiring when you're studying.
Most of the time, I was in front with my notes but making some sketches.
I really don't want to study. It made my head aches.
Besides I have many thing inside my mind. Requirements and school stuff.

    Meet the place – Kasaginan.
It is located near the Holiday Gym, Bajada, Davao City.
Sorry if I don't have pictures to share with you guys
the interior designs of the place.
 Rush Hours!
Me: Working with the Gawad Pedro application letter. Stressed mode!

Me: Blueberry Cheese Pie

It's not good to work without anything in your stomach!
Ian, Vice president of the Visual Arts Club, treated me Blueberry Cheese Pie.
I like the melted berry on top. The taste was like a champagne but with a twist of sweetness.

After few hours, my head aches.
It was already drained and  i don't know what should I included in the explanation.
We were working with our application for Gawad Pedro Awards.
The deadline was yesterday but then, we were given an opportunity to submit it tomorrow.
However, there will be deduction of points in promptness.

I think it's better than nothing, isn't it?
This is for our club -  the Visual Arts Club.
We are aiming for these following awards:
Most Outstanding Club
Breakthrough Project
Project of the Year

I'm still working with the Breakthrough Project.
Wew! Rush Hours!
I hope we can make this tonight.
 I'm so stressed!

I'm so Blessed!

"I would always remember this night!"
I told myself.

9:00 am
I woke up late in the morning.
So I decided not to come to our school for this day.
What I did, I prepare all my stuff for the ramp later.

Three ramps,
Three different clothes,
three different heels/shoe,
twenty contenders,
but eight of us will be chosen.

But actually, I have a strong feeling that I'll be not one of them.
It's not that I'm losing hope but it's actually my intuition.
However, since I decided to join, I must not quit until the end.
It's always my motto.
"Never quit until the end."

1:00 pm
I asked Tating (common name used to her/him)
to fix my hair and for the make up.
while waiting for the others, Titz and I had a small conversation.

3:00 pm
Snacks time!
I would always tend to stop my work for
FOOOOOOD!
Don't tell me you're not going to eat
when there's so much food serve to you?

4:00 pm
Final touches for the make-up and my hair style.

4:30 pm
Travelling towards the school.
Thanks to kuya Jason for the ride.
Soo lucky.

5:00 - 6:00 pm
waiting at the dressing room.
I got so nervous.
But thanks to my classmates, and friends
who came there for the support.

7:00 pm
EVENT PROPER!

I never thought that some of my classmates made a banner for me.
I never saw this during the ramp.
I was so surprised when I saw this photo at Alma's photo album.

Lovely banner made by my classmates and friends
Thank you so much, guys!

For the first ramp, it's FASHIONISTAS!
Actually, I really don't know what to wear.
I need to wear something ORANGE.
I opened my closet and so what I found
was this orange skirt.
I just paired it up with printed top.
I know, sometimes, I'm not a good in terms of fashion,
but it's the only thing that I have.
Vintage style
top: Krizia (printed) / below: old orange skirt
My make up was too heavy!

For the second ramp,
it's CREATIVE WEAR!
INDIGO
So I made a gown with use of  rice sack
and smoke cellophane
with colors of blue and white.

My creative wear made up of smoke cellophane.
Thanks to my dear Karl and Val for helping me
making this gown.

And for the last but not the least,
the FORMAL WEAR!
ORANGE.

white and silver long gown/ orange satin cloth/ black top
I know I am not a good stylist.
but did I make them blend?

Passed ten, perhaps, the declaration of top 8.
Everyone was cheering for their bets!
I have my own bets too.

As I expected, I am not one of them.
But I'm so happy to be part of the ROCK'S FACES year 2.

It would always be a good experience for me.
To ramp in front my schoolmates, classmates, and friends
is not that easy for me.
Because I'm shy and I felt uneasy.
Because I maybe fail their expectations to me.
But still, I'm proud that I overcome this kind of feeling.

"I would always remember this night!
I may be not one of the top 8 finalists of Faces year 2,
I'm so proud that my father is one of my audience."
I told myself.

This is the first event that my dear father watched me.
I was surprised when my sister, Valerie, told me that his there near the
aisle watching. I felt so blessed! I felt so happy but then again, I wanna cry.
I really love my father.

I would like to thank my dear sponsors:
Karen Sy,
Karl Jason Alve,
Dennis Sarmiento and family,
Kuya Jason for the transportation,
ate Tating (hair and make-up)
and of coarse, to my dearest sister,
Valerie Mati-ong.

I would like to thank my classmates, and friends for supporting me during the show,
for the words of encouragement, and for always there when I need help.
Thank you soo much, guys!

This night will be a special night for me!

LOVE,
ANN

In the middle of...something...

Rainy days make things so dusky!
That's why I preferred to wear something
brown for this day.

I usually like rainy days.
However, I don't really know why I don't feel that way.
I often smile and remain silent.
I tried to had some conversations
but I felt there's something missing.

On the depth of sadness,
think for any possibilities that will boost up your ego,

look forward for the chances and opportunities to come
and don't leave yourself drown
grab them, and achieve them. Think positive!
Ashley and Me
After wandering at Soul Lifestyle, we went at the peak of Gaisano Mall and
took some photo shoot just to ease our boredom.

It's kinda cold out there and it's about to rain.
We went back inside and went home after.
Besides, I need to fix my creative wear for this Saturday.

I felt so pressured.
What should i do just to ease this kind pressure?

Sometimes, our SMILES are the mask of our sadness, sorrow and depression.
But then again, if you keep on using it,
soon, it will tear off and reveal your true self.

Wondering at Soul Lifestyle

Ashley and I planned to look for an outfit that I can use for my event next week,
February 18, 2012.
We went to Gaisano Mall of Davao to gather some styles, ideas and outfit designs.
She wanted to buy some clothes too. And then, we came to visit the
Soul Lifestyle (located at second floor of Gaisano Mall).
Actually, Ashley told me that they will be having a valentine sale. So some of their
clothes will be sale as low as 299 (Of, course, it depends on the style).

Since Ashley is busy choosing her clothes, I lend her camera for awhile.
While wondering the place, I took some of these pieces which captures my attention.
Here, take a look!

Animalace-designed

mannequin's hand wearing gold-hue bracelets
Chandelier
While resting on the mini-sofa, unconsciously I looked upward.
What I saw was this chandelier.
It's really amazing!
I was amazed by its curvature designs.
If, I'm not mistaken,
I think it was the only chandelier hanging up there.
I always dream to have chandelier at home.
A Decorative Candle

I found this solely decorative candle near the dressing room.
I was attracted with its curvature design.
It's simple yet elegant.  I like its black and white color combination.
Well, I'm planning to make my own decorative candle too.
Soon.

Foot wears
How I wish to have lots of shoes at home.
It was always my dream to have a cabinet full of different shoes,
sandals, heels, and other foot wears.
Usually, my mother bought me foot wears from bargains.
At Soul Lifestyle, they have nice styles of foot wears.
They are really foot-friendly because they are comfortable to wear.

Bag and wedge
Bags and wedges. A girl cannot go out without these with them.
Some girls prefer to wear flat shoes. Others love to wear heels.
But some gals, love to wear wedges because they are comforble to wear.
They are also fitted for those girls who were not that tall.

Colored Belts

Privileged Card

"How was your SOUL experience?"
"How was my SOUL experience?" I asked myself.
Well, it's fun! I like their styles and outfit designs.
They have also a cute accessories such as earings, bracelets, bangles,
rings and necklaces.
They also have bags, belts and shoes.

Unfortunately I can't buy right now.
Who knows, one of these days,
I'll visit there again and buy some stuff.
^_^
I'm so sorry if some photos were not that clear.
I'm not that good of taking good photos.
I'm still practicing how to capture a good one.
